 I.S.A. British Council In – House Project 
‘POTABLE WATER AND ITS CONSERVATION'
CLASS : VII

Under this project a plethora of interesting activities was organised. Students exhibited their talent on the digital platform and were also sensitized towards the importance of water and its conservation. They also got an opportunity to explore the works of Japan and Bangladesh using virtual environment.

INTER – CLASS POETRY RECITAL COMPETITION

The young poets enthralled the audience with their articulation and memory skills as they got an opportunity to express their concern through words, actions and beautiful thoughts in the form of poetries titled ‘Water – A Precious Commodity’. The colourful props used by the participants made their presentations vibrant.











POWER POINT PRESENTATION COMPETITION

With an aim of nurturing the potential of each child and develop personal experience through application ability, a PPT Competition was organised on the topic ‘ Water – Borne Diseases’. The technical lovers showcased a collaborative effort with an amalgamation of intelligence, research effort and creativity. Vibrant templates, dramatic background effects and informative content increased awareness of the students about various water – borne diseases and their effects on mankind. 





POSTER MAKING COMPETITION

The students showcased their artistic ingenuity and manifested their opinions and propositions by making beautiful thought-provoking posters. The activity not only unleashed their creative expression but also to gauged their awareness. It was a huge success and the spirit and enthusiasm displayed by the children was highly appreciated by one and all present on the digital platform.





 WEBINAR

An informative talk supplemented by a ppt was conducted by the alumni of the school, Dr. Jagriti Gandhi. She apprised the students with the causes and prevention of water – borne diseases and various ways of water purification. She also gave a comparative account of methods of water purification in India, Japan and Bangladesh. The session was very interactive and the students participated  enthusiastically as it nurtured enlightened minds and paved way for a brighter future.








MIME 

To involve the element of fun, entertainment and theatre, mime performances were organised. The participants performed wonderfully and depicted the theme with their magnificent dramatic performance, brilliant gestures and body movements.






VIRTUAL TOUR

A video on purification of water was shown to the students which showcased the journey of potable water before reaching the houses. They were also apprised regarding various water power plants located in Faridabad. The successful completion of the questionnaire given to check the understanding of the students revealed that it was an extremely knowledgeable activity and consequently was praised by one and all in the digital environment.      


VIRTUAL RALLY

Rally ( virtual) on the topic conservation of water :

Due to the ongoing pandemic COVID-19, a virtual rally was conducted under the British Council ISA project potable water and its conversation .Students  send their slogan and a padlet was  formed of the same.

D.A.V. Public School, Sainik Colony, Sector-49, Faridabad  participated in the British Council, In- House ISA Project ‘Save The Beauty of Nature’ .The students of classes LKG to II participated and proved that the age is just a number by their concern towards nature and their untiring efforts to create awareness to save its beauty. Main attractions of the project were Coloring competition in the lap of nature, plantation drive followed by an In-house rally by the tiny tots holding slogans and placards in their hands. Special Assembly followed by quiz, poetry recitation by the young poets left everyone spellbound. Picture Dictionary and last but not the least Virtual Ballad by the students proved that nothing can stop us if we wish to achieve our goal.  



SPECIAL ASSEMBLY : 
Special Assembly and a thought provoking quiz for students of  Class I was held under the aegis of ISA British Council In House Project on 20th February, 2020 in the school auditorium. The theme of assembly was “Save the Beauty of Nature” and the countries under study were Indonesia, Malaysia and India.Power Point Presentation on the theme was presented which was based on the nature, its beauty and measures taken by the countries under study. The aim was to introduce the children to the beautiful flora, fauna, landscapes and the steps taken by these countries to save them. The students got concrete knowledge of the beautiful nature and participated in quiz based on the same.





COLOURING COMPETITION : 

Colouring competition was organized under the British Council In-House, ISA PROJECT.Tiny artists were given sheets with nature as the theme and the central lawn of the schoolbecame a beautiful sight with young ones with their colours and colourful minds full of zealand enthusiasm. Sun baked lawn and tiny hands working on their sheets was a scene worthwatching.







SAPLING PLANTATION : 

The young enthusiastic green brigade of D.A.V. Public School, Sainik Colony, Sector – 49, Faridabad carried the legacy of the school of Saving Nature. Students participated in various activities. ‘Plantation Drive’ sensitized students with variety of plants, croton, medicinal, indoor and decorative. Students planted saplings and carried out a rally in school premises to create awareness and to show their concern for the Nature. Their tiny hands and innocent faces impressed everyone.









PICTURE DICTIONARY : 

Students learnt the initiative taken by various countries to save the beauty of nature. They learnt about flora and fauna of different countries. Students made outstanding presentations.  They selected and pasted relevant pictures and content and presented them neatly in the picture dictionary with the help of their parents and under the guidance of teachers. The initiative by the school, efforts and guidance of teachers and facilitators and finally commendable job by parents and students resulted in some masterpieces.






POEM RECITATION : 

Poetry Recitation Competition was organized on 28" February, 2020 in school auditorium. Principal of the school welcomed the judges and motivated the tiny tots. The young poets dressed in theme costumes exhibited their talents while their parents accompanied them to the stage and highlighted the need of the hour to save the nature for future.



BALLET : 

Ballet on a virtual platform was a new experience for everyone but the tiny tots surprised once again with their talent, efforts, and zeal. Their concern for nature, appreciation of the beauty of nature, and promise to keep it protected and safe is an eye opener for the older generation. With the extraordinary efforts of parents and the untiring spirit of little nature soldiers, the ballad was successfully moulded. Students presented poems, dances, and rhymes in an impressive manner. Students pledged to save nature.
