ISA British Council Online project titled
“MATHEMATICS  IN

EVERY DAY LIFE”

from November 16 to November 30, 2016

Class :   VIII
(age group 12 & 13 years)

Under this project a plethora of interesting activities was organized. Students exhibited their flair in the art as they put together artistic, imaginative and creative skills to make bright and beautiful Rangolis using Geometric Shapes, Deity Impressions and Floral Motifs.  









OREO STACKING ACTIVITY


How high can you stack your 
favourite Oreos ? 

An instant hit with the students, this activity has lots of benefits, building  dexterity, confidence self-esteem and attention to detail.                  






CARD  GAME ACTIVITY

A self – checking activity for VIII graders to use numbers cards as manipulatives to order the number before finding the mean, median, mode and range. 



MATHEMATICS AROUND THE WORLD

Students became familiar with the popular food and temperature conditions in different cities of four countries :  Nepal, Sri Lanka, Singapore and India. They Practised Data Management and its representation in the form of Pie Chart, Bar Graph, Line Graph etc.

ISA British Council collaborative project titled FASCINATING WORLD OF CHILDREN (BOOKS)’
from July16 to August 4, 2016.  Students of
Classes III to V
(age group 8 -10 years)
actively participated in it.

Under this project a plethora of interesting activities was organized. Informative and creative scrap books were prepared by the scholars of class-III wherein they arranged information about the literary personalities of different countries allotted to them.

Under the ISA PROGRAMME ,in collaboration with the British Council, in the month of July 2016, the students of 
class X
(age group 14 -16 years)
participated in the project

WASTE MANAGEMENT


Under  this project, the students studied different types of countries and how these countries are managing their waste.  
A Talk on Waste Management was given by the experts, WHO strongly opinioned that  

NO INFRASTRUCTURE
NO FACILITIES
NO UTILITIES


will bring or yield results unless we the people became aware and awaken ourselves to do something for the place we live in and dream of living in.

ART FROM WASTE














The students also created a compost pit in the school as well as at their homes.


They collected the  waste and segregated it into Biodegradable and       non-biodegradable waste

and buried it into two different compost pit dug by them to convert it into manure.
