“Natural Disasters –

Disrupting Human LIFE”

Under  this project, the students studied various kinds of destructive forces of nature-their impact , ill- effects ,precautions and preventive measures.

 The models of Disaster Resistant Buildings were also prepared by the students of class X . These models covered the disasters like Cyclone, Flood and Earthquake. By adopting the skill and technique of Learning by Doing, the students used different kinds of raw materials and prepared the Disaster Resistant Buildings

FRAMING OF EMERGENCY EXIT PLAN

The students of class X prepared the Emergency Exit Plans for each and every classroom located on three different floors. The Exit Plans were displayed in all the classrooms and were also explained to the students by teachers as how to use it in case of emergency.

Mock Drill

  

The school organized a mock drill   showcasing the survival skills in case of earthquake emergency adopting and following the emergency adopting and following the emergency exit plan. 

Mr. Aditya Dahiya, ADC,Faridabad ; Dr.M.P.Singh,Chief Warden, Civil defence and Senior Specialist District Disaster Management AuthorityFBD And Ms. DolphieRaman, Research Officer, Disaster Management were invited to guide the students. The drill started with an Emergency alarm,wherein, all the students and teachers of class IX and X hide themselves under the benches. Then at the 2^nd Emergency alarm, they all covered their heads with bags and rushed out into an open area following the emergency exit plan explained to them earlier. The drill concluded with the useful tips and guidelines provided to the students by the esteemed  guests.
